Meeting Rooms
Use of the study spaces during COVID-19:
The Rossland Public Library Study Spaces are open starting Tuesday, June 8th, 2021.
The Raven Room and our study kiosk are available.
Please call or visit the library and provide:
Your first and last name.
Phone number and email address.
Library card number. (If you are not a member of the library this is not required.)
Room use is limited to 1.5 hour blocks and the rooms need to be vacant for 30 minutes between uses.
1-3 users can be in the Raven Room.
1 user can be in the kiosk.
Masks must be worn at all times while inside the library.
There are two rooms available for use by the community:
Harry’s is a larger, multipurpose space which can be set in several ways. There is a TV – type screen which can be connected to your laptop.
The Raven Room is smaller with a table seating six to eight comfortably. There is a smart TV which can access the internet or be connected to your laptop.
B.6 Meeting Room Policy
- Public use of the meeting room is intended for use by groups for gatherings of a civic, cultural or educational nature. The room is available free of charge for non-profit purposes. For all other uses, there is a fee as set by the library board. (See below )
- Use of the meeting room does not imply the Library’s endorsement of the beliefs of groups using the meeting room.
- Meetings must comply with fire safety regulation; maximum occupancy will be 32 people. Persons using the Library’s meeting rooms must comply with all federal, provincial, and municipal legislation.
- Regular monthly Library board meetings take precedence over all other meetings.
The fee for use by groups as stated above is $50 for up to three hours.
